MEMBERSHIP

When we become members we are literally joining the family of Christ Church and are therefore sharing in all the ups and downs of family life. Also, as part of a Community of God’s people, we become part of a covenant to live in community to share our love for Jesus Christ with the world and with each other.

Professing Christians are eligible for membership at Christ Church Vero Beach, Membershipan Anglican Church. The first step is Baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. If you have ever been baptized, and you affirm the baptismal vows, we honor that blessing and do not re-baptize believers.

The second step is Confirmation, a public declaration that the vows taken on your behalf as a baptized infant/young child are now affirmed as your own or the declaration of an adult to confirm your faith into which you were baptized, all having been trained suitably in the scriptures and faith. The Bishop confirms one's membership into the Church and ordains each member for ongoing discipleship and mission.

People who have been confirmed in a different liturgical tradition may be received into Christ Church Vero Beach with the approval of the Rector and the formal reception by the Bishop. If you are a current member in good standing of an Anglican Church, you may request membership via a letter of transfer from the former parish.

For more information on becoming a member of Christ Church or transferring your membership from another Church, please call the Church Office at 772.562.8670 or email us with your request.  One of our Pastors will contact you.
