WORSHIP MINISTERS SCHEDULE
EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Sunday School - 9 am
The Sunday School class on 1 Peter has concluded. Our next class begins September 6. Adult Sunday School meets in the Community Center. You can watch the live stream online here.
The upcoming Sunday School class is Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist. You will need the companion book for $15 (scholarships upon request); if you want Christ Church to order your book please register with Lois Okaily by August 31. Alternatively you may order your own copy (author is Dr. Brant Pitre).
In this class, you will discover the beauty in how the familiar traditions of our Eucharist along with the words and deeds of Jesus are rooted in the ancient customs of Old Testament Judaism. If you wish to deepen your faith in and understanding of the inexhaustible treasure that is the Eucharist, then this study is for you.
Sunday Worship For Kids - 9 am
Sunday School is held at 9 am for children ages preschool through 5th grade; nursery and childcare will also be provided for infants and toddlers. Our theme for the fall quarter will teach kids about the superheroes of the Bible. Ministry to children happens in the Promise Land wing of our campus and includes special worship time for ages 3-6 years and nursery care during the Sunday service. Children ages 6 (1st grade) and up are encouraged to worship with their families. We understand they are not usually still or silent, but we welcome them and believe there is great value to having them join us in worship.
Sunday Eucharist - 10:30 am
Our Sunday worship service at 10:30 emphasizes the "three streams" of our Anglican faith: Scripture, Sacraments, and Spirit. The focus centers on the authority of Scripture and is expressed through observing the time-honored sacraments while experiencing the power, freedom, and ministry of the Holy Spirit. This is a liturgical service and includes Holy Communion; all baptized Christians are welcome to receive from the Lord's table.
Seating is limited with social distancing during Covid-19, so please call the church office at 772.562.8670 to reserve a seat. Also live-streamed. We look forward to seeing you!
