Global missions opportunity meeting

The Outreach Committee has the responsibility to designate the financial gifts of Christ Church members to help serve the needs of our brothers and sisters in the community and throughout the world, effectively serving as the body of Christ (I Chronicles 29:14, 2 Corinthians 8:1-5, 9:6-8).

Anglican Frontier Missions. The mission of AFM is to plant Biblically-based, indigenous churches where the Church is not, among the 2 billion people and 6,000+ unreached people groups who have not heard the Gospel message even one time. One of our parishioners is now serving in S.E. Asia as part of AFM.

TEAM - The Evangelical Alliance Mission. TEAM's passion is to see God worshipped by all peoples. We partner with churches in the United States and around the world to send out workers and plant churches that will do the same. Funds provided went toward general operating expenses.

Global Mobilization Ministries – Alison Barfoot. The vision of Global Mobilization Ministries is to Empower Africans to Evangelize and Holistically Disciple Unreached People Groups. Beginning from the Source of the River Nile in Uganda, we seek to mobilize the Church in Africa to bless the nations. There are very few mission sending agencies in East Africa, yet there are many Christians in East Africa who have a vision for evangelism and church planting, are passionate about outreach, and skilled in spreading the Gospel.  With someone who will walk alongside them, encourage them, and give them a little push, their dreams for the spread of the Gospel and the expansion of the Kingdom of God can be realized. That is the vision of GMM – Global Mobilization Ministries.

GAP International – Swanee and Karen Schwanz are Christ Church parishioners who founded GAP International. GAP provides an umbrella of protection to the street kids in rural Uganda through the ongoing ministry of "God Is Good" Primary School. More than 200 children attend the school, including 80 orphans who also live there. The school is run by paid staff and 97% of students have passed the highly regulated national exams. Children are brought in by government officials or pastors, and they are received warmly, and introduced to the life and love of Jesus. The ministry operates on donations that provide uniforms, school supplies, fees, food, and housing.

The Way Home. Since 1985, Every Child Ministries has worked tirelessly to bring hope, practical help, and dignity to African children and their families, in the name of Jesus.  We are a holistic ministry, seeking to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the vulnerable, broken, and outcast. We bring hope for today by meeting physical needs, hope for tomorrow by providing opportunities for education, and hope for eternity by promoting spiritual growth. It is our deep desire to impact the lives of children in Africa with the life-changing message of the Gospel. We consider it a great privilege to partner with you on this incredible journey of faith and service.
